Halloween Bash

We’re brewing up some Spooky-Good Family fun for Cooper Creek square’s 8th Annual Halloween Bash. There will be trick or treating at all stores and restaurants, a haunted house for kids 6 and older, a supper special at Smokin’ Moes, costume contest, and scarecrow prizes. This will be a safe place to celebrate Halloween designed for children 12 and under.

Fraser Recreation Center

The Fraser Recreation Center is going up between Fraser and Winter Park. The exterior walls are being built and crews have been added in order to enclose the structure before winter begins. This new addition to the community is exciting and long awaited!

New Medical Center

The new medical center to be built in Granby will be called Middle Park Medical center.  A venue for several local providers to work together to provide better health care for residents and guests. The new facility will offer urgent care, outpatient surgery, imaging services, and onsite lab services.

Warren Miller Film in Winter Park

It’s that time of year again, “Children of Winter.” Featuring some of the most spectacular scenery on earth, skijoring, skiing and snowboarding footage. Locations include Iceland, Alaska, Japan, Austria, and British Columbia. The film is about us being able to continue being kids. The tour marks an official start to winter for sports enthusiasts. The film is showing October 23rd in Winter Park.

Ski Swap

Residents gear up for winter this month at the Winter Park Ski Resort. The annual ski swap is a big hit and the deals on gear from bikes to snowboards to cross country skis and equipment are very affordable. Snow is back this weekend in the valley as well getting everyone ready for winter!

Return of the American Veterans Rally.

The Veterans Rally may or may not return next year to Winter Park. The main issues are concerns over safety, traffic flow, and the “communities core values.” This summer was the rallys second year in the Fraser Valley. Local businesses claim the rally was one of the best events of the summer.  Some notable features are, the traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall, and a military parade in downtown Winter Park.
